This long running magazine started after the Second World War and covered most sports.Presumably the British Olympic Association worked out in the 1950's that to sell more copies you needed to offer good soccer content, paticularly if it wasn't an olympic year!
As a result these magazines increasingly offered excellent football coverage. It must have been this magazine that convinced Charles Buchan to launch his football only monthly in 1951.
Brian Glanville was a regular contributor in the later issues.
