The lovers of sport for its own sake and of football as a game for the players and not as a circus exhibition for the entertainment of the populace, will be as pleased to get rid of these clubs as was Cicero of old when he succeeded in inducing Catiline and his traitorous gang to separate themselves from the honest citizens by leaving Rome."
